The Christie NHS Trust one year after the fire
As laboratory logistics specialists we’re often involved in large scale and high profile projects.
These projects are in their nature complicated and demanding and none was more so than the Cancer Research relocation we undertook for the Christie NHS Trust after the fire that decimated the Hospital’s Patterson building in the Spring of 2017.
The Christie NHS Trust is one of the UK’s biggest cancer research and treatment centres, serving over three million people across Greater Manchester and Cheshire with a quarter of patients being referred from across the country. Operating with 2,500 staff, 300 volunteers and 30,000 public members they are one of the largest hospital charities in the UK. The institute is funded by Cancer Research UK, which spends about £22m a year on research in Manchester.
You can read the case study we did on the project here as well as the feature Cancer Research have done for their Summer 2018 newsletter, which talks all about the move from their perspective.
